It is built using appropriate technology without compromising the beauty and strength. There are several green tech innovations included in the design and construction. Total recycling of water, rain water harvesting, use of solar technology, natural lighting, deployment of energy efficient technology, repurposing and upscaling old materials are just a few examples.
The brand-new infrastructure presents many possibilities. It provides space for training, board and lodge. The training centre can accommodate 60 people and the board and lodging facility can hold up to 30 participants. A variety of training programs have been conducted for Sri Lankan Tamil refugees, tribal children, elected tribal representatives, members of self-help groups, community leaders and students from various colleges. The centre is also open for outbound and corporate trainings. It also serves as a destination for rest and recuperation for community-based volunteers and activists.
